MILTON SILLS, ACTOR. -, LOS ANGELES, September Iff. ' The sudden death occurred yesterday of Mr. Mifton Sills, for many years one; of the best-known actors in. motion, pictures. Ho dropped dead from a heart'attack while playing tennis with, his wife and son at their suburban home. . The late Mr. Milton Sills was born en January 10, 1882, at Chicago, and was educated at the university there, obtaining a.'fellowship in philosophy. He made his stag - debut in 1907 in "The Miser)" and after that ■ played many roles until he made hie screen debut in 1914 in "The Pit." ~ Subsequently Mr. Sills played tlio leading roles in "Flaming Youth," "The Sea Hawk," , "The Unguarded Hour," "The Lying Truth," "Puppets," and "Men ;of Steel" and other films. He was twice married, first td Miss Gladys Wynne, by whom he had a daughter, Dorothy, and in 1920 to Miss Doris Kcnyon.
