ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.
NOT TO BE ALTERED. POSTPONEMENT OF CENSUS. (By Telegrnpli.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. i There will be no alteration of the electoral boundaries of New Zealand before the next general election, according to a statement made in the Houee to-day by the Hon. H Atraore, Minister in Charge of the Electoral' Department. : The question had been broached by several members, who were curious to ascertain whether in consequence of the announced intention of the Government to postpone the taking of the quinquennial census tins year the customary redistribution of seats would be taken by the Boundary Commissioners. The Minister intimated thatthe necessarv legislation enabling the census to be postponed would be introduced, before the close of the seesion, «ud that there would ibe no alteration in the boundaries before the next general election.
