RIFLE SHOOTING.
LEGION OP FRONTIERSMEN CLUB. The Legion Shooting Club held th<* fir-i practice shoot of the 1030-31 season at the Penrose rifle range on Saturday afternoon- Weather conditions "were Ideal, strong srmlight and a clear atmosphere, with a light south-west wind blowing -across the range. Troopers Powell and Cartel acted as HLsirnctors and capably isctl the shoo ting _ of the less-experienced men"ers - The rifles trere tested and adjusted 011 the 25yds range, and the scores were registered on the 200 yds range. -Following are the scores for both th« application and the snap shooting, the possible being 40 in each case (application results -first): —Lient. Temperlev, 31 22; Corporal Wilson, 27. 28; Trooper Carter. 32, 35; Trooper X Powell. 25, 24: Trooper J. Bates, 13, IS; Trooper S. Barclay, 20, 31.
