TAXI-PROPRIETOR'S CLAIM.
DRIVE TO TAKAPUNA RACES.

WHANGAREI, Monday.
In the Whangarei Magistrate's Court to-day, before Mr. G. H. Morris, S.M., Horace Pair, taxi proprietor,. sued two Chinese, Hap Seng and-Wong Kai, and a white man, Charles Blagrove, for the sum of. £110 for damage .allegedly done to his motor car, and • incidental losses, when defendants drove the car- to Auckland last January to attend the Takapuna races. Mr. R. K. Trimmer, for plaintiff,' Baid ho had hired the car to defendants, who wifihed to go to Auckland, for £7. Benzine and any other charges had to be pftidl out of the £7.
