ANNUAL REPORT ISSUED. " ; The annual report of the Auckland Cricket Association lias been issued, in •readiness for the annual meeting on Thursday evening. It is, the customary, complete statement of the association's activities for the period concerned, giving full information of the officials, the affiliated Bodies, winners of trophies, and Plunkct Shield and' other inter-provincial marches as well as the scores of the M.C.C. v. Auckland match. Reference is made to the passing away during the year of three old- cricketers of prominence, Messrs. A. jST. Snedden, C. W. Garrard and-Robert Neill. On the financial side, the association reports'having ended the season with a credit balance of £146, after, having made an advance to the Coach Fund of £144. The sum of £60 had been received from increased registration fees, which went into the coach fund, and the possibility of retaining the levy this season for the same purpose is mentioned. The report states that the forthcoming eeason will probably be a quiet one, Auckland being due to play Plunkct Shield matches in Chrktchurch and Dunedin during the Christinas and New Year holidays, and to receive a visit from a Wellington team later. On the big matches played in Auckland last year the association made a profit of £21 from the Otago game, of £36 from the Canterbury game, and of £274 from the M.C.C. match. Members' stand fees brought in £150, and the club match "gates" £103. On the other side, the Wellington tour cost £142,' the Gisborne tour £65, and the Whangarei tour. £15, while grants were made to the Tainaki Club ( £5), Auckland juniors (£26) and E. 0. Beale touring team ( £14).
MORRINSVILLE. PRACTICE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) MOBBINSVILLE, Sunday. About 20 Morrinsville cricket enthusiasts took .advantage of the warm weather on Saturday to liold the first practice of tlie season on the matting-covered bitumen wicket at the Recreation Grounds. The recently Morrinsville Cricket Association hopes to have four good teams this year. Last year there were only two teams in Morrinsville. and games were played with Te Aroha.
