DEATH OF ELDERLY MAW. RETURNING FROM CHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU, this day. An old identity of Oama.ru lost? liis life in a motor accident last evening, Mr. James Housten Milligan, aged 89, being struck by a car which was driven by . Francis Harold Bryant. Mr. Milligan was returning home from church when the car struck him, inflicting fatal injuries to his arms, leg, ribs and head. Mr. Milligan was one of the old residents of Oamaru. Born in Scotland in 1841, he arrived in Dunedin 66 years ago and shortly after commenced business as a tailor at Oamaru. He is survived by his sons Robert (Oamaru), David (Wellington), Miss Milligan and Mrs. Scott. He was for many years a member of the Charitable Aid Board.
