MINOR FIRES.
The Remuera Fire Brigade was called to suppress a chttnney /ire on Saturday afternoon at a house at 25, Golf Rom, One Tree Hill, occupied by Mr. W. H. Tingey, while an hour later the firemen were summoned to a new house occupied by Mr. T. Hickey, of 39a,- St. Andrew's Road, Epsom, where shavings and rubbish under the house had caught alight. :,. ; . . ■ , A slight outbreak occurred in the washhouse of a double-storcyed house at .78, View Read, Mount Eden, on Saturday. afternoon. The- house was empty at the time, and new tenants were moving in. The. flames .were quickly 'suppressed by the Mount Eden- brigade.
