MATCHES AT MIDDLEMOEE.
A return match between teams from Hamilton and Auckland Golf Clubs was' played to-day under excellent conditions at Middlemore. . In the singles in the morning Auckland, which fielded a strong team, had a marked superiority, winning ten games to two. Results were as foflows, Hamilton names being mentioned first:—
J. Black lost to H. Plumley, 4 and 3; W. Wynne lost to W. S. Ralph. 5 and 4; R. Guy beat R. D. Wright, 1 up; H T. Gillies lost to A. Donald, 4 and 3- C Hotson lost to P. C. Colbeck, 1 down; W. Ross lost to V. Wells, 7 and 5; T Atkins lost to E. Bartleet, 4and 3- C* Sutcliffe lost to Dr. Abbott, 3 and 1G. Grimp, lost to R. 0. Gardner, 3 and 1 \ H. Fisher lost to R. Rainier, 6 and 5Dr Blundell beat P. Weston, 3 and 2; P. Russell lost to C. Jacobsen, G and 5.
