A reader, "Eggs," wishes to know whether duck-eggs can be preserved. The followingrwill- keep duck eggs as well as hen eggs: Take 2 cups of shell lime, 1 cup of salt, and 1 gallon of water. The best' receptacle is a kerosene tin, cutting away one side, making a lid if turned back. Stir gently with the hand when putting them in. The eggs must.be perfectly fresh. This recipe was used by the. giver for over thirty years.
