Those who are so unfortunate as to be out of work will, now that the Unemployment Bill lias passed the House of Representatives, 'breathe a sigh of relief and thankfulness. 'Special thanks are due to the "Auckland -Star" for the splendid fight put up on behalf of those practically powerless to help themselves. In your sub-leader of yesterday the simile "To say that the remedy for unemployment is to find work for the unemployed is rather like saying that what a man needs who is perishing of thirst in the desert is water' is an answer that is indisputable.
