BURIAL OF SIR G. HUNTER.
FUNERAL AT WAIPUKURAU.
DOMINION-WIDE TRIBUTES,

WAIPUKURAU, Friday.
' The funeral of Sir George Hunter took place to-day. A service in St. Mary's Church was conducted by Canon E. D. Rice, and was very largely attended. Mr. H. M. Campbell, M.P., represented the Reform party and the Hon. A. J. Murdoch the Government. All the business premises were closed during the service. Jockey club stewards acted as pall-bearers. After the service the body was taken to deceased's station for private burial. A large number of motor cars went as far as the borough boundary, and a special car carried a great number of wreaths from all parts of the Dominion'.
