Sharp rises in prices of fat sheep, fat . cattle and dairy cattle were recorded at the stock sale to-day. Rates for sheep were up 4/ per head, springing Jersey 'heifers advanced £3, and prices for fat cattle rose to 35/ per 1001b. Prices -were: Fat sheep: Hoggets, heavy prime, 23/7 to 25/3; very good, 20/1 to 22/6; good, 18v*> to 19/; fair, 15/. to 17/5,' two-tooths, special lines, 28/; prime heavy,. >» 23/6; prime heavy ewes, 26/ to 26/0; very good, 23/6 to 25/4; good, 19/ to 21/10; medium, 17/1 to 18/2; wethers, special lines, 31/4 and 32/3; •heavy prime, to 30/10; good, 25/; fair, 21/6 to 22/8. GISBORNE, this day. At the Gisborne stock sale in store sheep no breeding ewes were yarded. Weaners, 12/6 to 15/6; light baconers, 49/; good size stores, to 34/. Hutchinson Brothers' annual draft of Hereford two-year bulls brought up to 61 gut,-, averaging £49 10/..
