TARANAKI HUNT MEETING. MAIDOS AND OOPEY JUMP WELL. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") HAWERA, this day. The weather was fine and the tracks in good order for training work at Hawera this morning. All the local horses engaged at the Taranaki Hunt meeting on Saturday week were out exercising. The plough and the trial grass tracks were open and afforded capital going. Tentcall and Calamine, on the plough, sprinted' three furlongs in 40Js. Homewood, alone, strode over the same distance pleasingly in 4145. The three-year-olds Whirl and Bifiex went once round at .three-quarter pace. Kiosk, Prince Desmond and Green Linnet finished abreast at the end of three furlongs on the grass in 40Js. They could have improved on this. Son o Mine's task was a couple of rounds at a steady pace.
