(a) £S6OO for the purpose of providing the necessary strengthening and extensions to the Waterworks Reticulation System, of which the sum of £2400 only is authorised to be raised at the present time. (b) £4650 for the following works, viz.:— For the provision of the Borough's Share of the cost of a concrete pavement and other works subsidiary thereto for TITIRANGI ROAD, which work carries a subsidy from the Main Highways ' Board of £3 to £1 £3000 For constructing a 20-feet wide Concrete Pavement i in TODDS and TOTARA AVENUES, from the railway crossing to the Great -"North Road, and Bitumen Pene- . tration work for certain portions of the •boulders,. £1650 Notice is hereby given by the New Lynn Borough Council, in pursuance of Section 10 of the above Act: (1) That the purposes for which the leans are required are :— (a) For the provision of the Borough's '"*'■•' Share of the cost of a Concrete ? Pavement for Titirangi Road. (b) For the Construction of a Concrete Pavement,in Totara, and Todds Avenues, and Bitumen Penetration Work in connection therewith. (2) That the New Lynn Borough Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds;for such works.out of the ordinary revenue of the borough, proposes to borrow sums, not exceeding £8600 , aud £4650 respectively.. (3) That the proposed security for the repayment of such loans shall be special, rates of 9-16ths and 3-Bths of , a penny respectively upon the unimproved value of all ratable property in the Borough of New Lynn. (4) That the.New Lynn Borough Council proposes to make such loans repayable at the end of 36$ and 20 years respectively from the date of issue, and proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of not less than £1 per ..centum per annum and £3 per centum per annum respectively. (5) That the Borough Council proposes to pay out of such loans such costs, charges,and expenses as the Council may determine as having been actually incurred in connection with such loans, but o portion of interest and/or sinking . fund thereon. .
