He; filled second place in the Wellington Club championship, but is improving fast, and was _ third in the provincial race. Sinclair "is a young runner with promise. He belongs to the Scottish Club, of which «lub Stevens is the champion. • The emergencies represented Wellington last season, but are not stiowing true form. They may run as individuals. If Rose does not start, and he has not been nominated by Wanganui-West Coast, the race should be between Stevens, Francis, and Barnes. The protest ■ over the disqualification of B grade runners last Saturday will be dealt with at a special meeting, on Tuesday. It is unlikely that the protest will be upheld.
