'V August; is working a solid 'team at Otahuhu. The trotter Gold Sovereign is -going particularly well in. his. work, and if he can be induced to stay on a little better at the end of his races, he should get a stake before long. j;
The appearance of the handicaps for the relief meeting will give followers ot trotting in Auckland something upon which to centre their attention. Acceptances close on Friday at 5 p.m., when, no doubt, 'oVncvs- will respond freely.
