N. AUCKLAND TOURING TEAM.

LOCAL SATISFACTION AT DEFEAT

OF AUCKLAND.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WHANGAREI, this day.

The victory with which the North Auckland representatives 'brought their tour to a close on Saturday has been received with a great deal of satisfaction locally, especially in view of the fact that the team was not up to its maximum strength, being, as it Avas, without the services of Innes Finlayson, M. Yates, E. Halsted (who was unable to tour), M. McDonald and G. T. Icholls, who was injured; also, in view of the fact' that Auckland's team included six men who played against Britain.
