LAST SEASON'S EXPORTS.

WOOL THE CHIEF FACTOR.

Exports for the. year ended June 30 totalled £47,588,213, which is a decrease of £8,656,537 on the preceding year, and the total is £9,757,044 less .than the record year of 1925-26. The following table gives the values of the principal items of exports for the past three years:— Values of the principal classes of produce exported during the years ended June 30, 1930, ; 1929 and 1928 respectively.

totals 47,588,213 56,244,750 55,019,285 The total shows a decrease of £8,656,537, of which £7,766,848 accrues in wool, but about £2,000,000 of this is due to wool being held back, as shipments for this season are 142,233 bales short of last season. This leaves 5% million decrease in the value of wool shipped.
