COMMUNITY SINGING.

Community singing was held in the Town Hall to-day, in connection with the Music Week movement. Mr. Bullock presided, and Mr. M. Guthrie was song leader. The soloist, Miss Eileen O'Moore, contributed a number of favourites, including "The Dear Little Shamrock" and "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling." There will be community singing daily during the week. Mr. Vernon Drew will be leader to-morrow, the Rev. Jasper Calder on Wednesday, Mr. Len Barnes on Thursday, and Mr. Vernon Drew on Friday.
