ORPHAN CLUB BALL.

The Takapuna-Orphan- Club's annual ball, held in the Pirate Shippe Cabaret "at Milford on Saturday evening, was voted the best that the club has ever organised. The upper and lower decks were used for dancing. Pretty lighting effects added to the gaiety of the scene, and an excellent supper was provided. Members of the ladies' committee present were:—Mrs. L.
