DISALLOWED BY BOARD. TERM OF DISQUALIFICATION REDUCED. Tho appeal of Reg. Trowern against the six months disqualification imposed by the New Zealand Boxing Association from July 1 last was heard by the Appeal Board, comprising Messrs. H. R. Mackenzie, C. Saunders, and L. Meredith, sitting iu Auckland. Trowcrn's offence was in breaking a contract entered into with the Wellington Boxing Association.

The board disallowed the appeal, but ordered that the term of disqualification lo reduced to expire to-day, which means that Trowern has been suspended seven weeks instead of six months. The case was the first of its kind calling for a, penalty of this nature, and the board held that the seven weeks' suspension was commensurate with the offence.
