BRISBANE, August 14.

Peter Pry or and Thomas Hoffman, charged .with murdering Robert Curry, superintendent of the aborigine station on Palm Island on February 3, were acquitted to-day. The Crown entered a nolle prosequi. V Mr. Justice Douglas said the community on Palm Island had every right to protect itself when a man such as Curry threatened the lives of the residents.
