NORMAL SCHOOL.
* SUCCESSFUL PAST TEAK. WORK OP PARENTS' 'ASSOCIATION. Considerable improvement to the gro-un&s in the vicinity of the school was reported at the annual meeting of the Normal School Parents' Association last evening. The president, Mr. F. G. Alpej presided. Satisfaction was expressed at the successes gained by the pupils. The boys' senior football team had, won every match, played, and annexed the championship in its grade. Girls" teams had won the physical drill championship at the primary school sports α-rd the championship cup at the schools' swimming competitions. The association had a credit balance of £2-50, of which £100 was ear-marked for a swimming bath at the Training College, and other funds were to be spent on ground improvements. The principal source of revenne during the year had been a fair held at the end of March. Appreciation of the work of the association was expressed by Mr. D. 3L Eae. principal of the Training College. Details of arrangements for the school concert at the end'of September were gives by Mr. E. Varlev; Hudson, headmaster of the schooL It was decided to organise "workingbees",to carry out further ground, improvements. The following officers were elected:— Patron, the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy; vicepatron, Mr. E. H. Potterj president. Mr. A. Barns; vice-presidents, Messrs H. G. Cousins and D. M. Eae; secretary, Mr. H. J. Tuck: treasurer. Mr. Lopdell"; committee, Mesdames Bannatyne, Davidson. Knox, Messrs. Alpe, Aikman, Dow, England. Isaacs, Xing, Mackav and Eev. E. C. Olds, -
