CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday

■The Official Assignee to-day proceded against Allan Howard, a bankrupt contractor, of Chaneys, on four charges of breaches of the Bankruptcy Act." Accused pleaded not guilty to all the charges, and was committed to tire Supreme Court for trial. The assignee said Howard's business was on a large scale, ami alleged that he had failed to keep proper 'books and made fully known all his property.
