(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. Perjury was admitted by a Maori, Pakerori Waiiti, known as Ted White, wlien lie was charged on two counts before justices of the peace in the Police Court at Waitara to-d.ay. ,He was committed for sentence to. the Supreme Court and' bail was allowed. White, a Pukearulie native, committed the offences during his appearance on a judgment summons proceeding before Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., at Waitara. The charges were that being a witness on June 6 he gave evidence on oath in open Court that he had not driven his car for six months and that he was not at the Stratford races in January, 1930, such assertions being ! known by him to be false and intended to mislead the Court, and that on July 4,he committed perjury by falsely swearing, "I did not drive my car through Ureivui. on. May 25 last. lam sure, it is more than three months since I drove my car.. I was not at the Stratford races in January, 1930, and I did not draw a dividend on Monsogne. I was last there when Grand Lupin won." These statements were made during a further hearing of. tho. judgment §wn- '
