RANGOON, August 8,

Mr. James Matthews, who left with the late Mr. Eric Hook on a flight to Australia, which crashed with tragic results, and who wandered for several days in the jungle of Burma before being rescued, is now limping but is otherwise fit.

In an interview he said that the Government did everything possible to find his companion, Mr. Eric Hook.

Mr. Matthews, who is ready to attempt to fly again to Australia from England, is sailing for home on August 16.
