AUCKLAND PROGRAMMES.

MORE EVEN DISTRIBUTION,

Now that the Auckland Trotting Club has taken over the affairs of the Otahuhu Club and all five meetings (luring the season at Alexandra Park will be staged by the Auckland Trotting Club, it may be that when the committee meet ,to draw up the programmes, an endeavour will be made to give a more even distribution in the dates of the fixtures. Up to the present it has been the custom to hold two meetings at Epsom in the spring, two in summer and one in winter. With the two clubs operating, this- was only to be expected, as each club would desire to race when the prospects of fine weather were best. Now, with the Auckland club staging the whole five meetings, it is likely one of the spring or summer fixtures will be moved along to the autumn.
