HIKURANGI COAL MINE.
"It is not possible to say what will be ' done, but the question is under the urgent consideration of the Government," said the Hon. A. J. Murdoch, Minister of Mines, 111 the House to-day, when replying to Mr. H. M. Rushworth (Bay of Islands), who wanted to know whether the Government intended to give any assistance in the de-watering of the Hikurangi coal mine, which had again become Hooded. The member asked also whether any help to be given could be made available immediately to reduce as much as possible tho period of unemployment of upwards of 250 miners.
