matamata club.
The annual mating of the Matamata Croquet Club wa-s held on Tuesday. The report stated that after laying down a new sreen there was a credit on the year of £19 6/5. The results of competitions played during the season were :—A championship, Mrs. W. Egan ; B championship. Mrs. McKerrow; Crabb Rose Bowl, Mrs. E.| Rwin ton; Egan trophy, Mrs. J. P- White; Stewart Trophy. Mrs. A. Oates; Hitchco <* Trophy, Mrs. W. Crabb; Saturday competitions. Mesdames C. Goodall ana Oates; Tuesday competitions, Mesdames •A- Gordon and McKerrow. Officers were elected as follows: —President, Mrs. W. Crabb; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. V. White and W. A. Gordon; secretary. Mrs. H. J. Buckley; treasurer, fs-j. A. Gordon ; match secretary, Mrs. fj- flrunton; match committee, Mesdames * v - Egan and C. Goodall; green superintendent, Mrs. Brunton; committee, MesQames A. Findlater, G. Stewart, C. Goodall, *• Hitchcock and A. Oates; delegates to Centre, Mesdames W. Egan aa(l A. Stewart.
