Toxeuma occupied 1.39 for the last seven furlongs of a mile. Battle Colours easily defeated Subdivision over six furlongs in 1.23. Shipshape was given a working gallop over a mile, while Grattus ran an easy half-mile. Rational 11,- and Arikinui were associated over half a mile in 55 l-ss. Gas Range and Miss Bradbury ran five furlongs in 1.8 3*5. Nightmarch strode out at three-quar-ter pace from the mile post, and ran home over the last half-mile in 51 l-ss. Gustavo and HounslOw sprinted half a mile easily in 54 2-ss, while Appeal ran over the same ground in 52 2-ss.

King's Jest Schooled. King's Jest Was schooled over five hurdles. He went at a slow pace over the first three, jumping tliem badly, but ho gave a good display when going fast over thfe last two. Lord Thomond sprinted up the back. Verden and Distrait rail half a mile in 52 3-ss. Radiate (I. Tilson) was schooled twice round the steeplechase fences. He blundered at the first fence, nearly losing his rider, but then went in good style till he reached the first fence of the double the second time. He slipped into the fence and dislodged his rider, but subsequently jumped both legs of the double well. Kapuna was given a working gallop over two circuits and moved freely. Valves strode out in good style on the sand. Mangani and Mountain Guide were companions twice round the sand. They hit out in attractive, fashion. Oil Top and Ranelagh were together at the end of six furlongs in 1.22 3-5, the last half-mile Occupying 565. Matu and Ottieo moved freely in working gallop over a round. They look Well. Charlatan and Kulrange were schooled twice round the fences. Charlatan went in his old style, showing that lie had lost none of his dash as a jumper. Kulrange, though slow at some of the fences, improved on his earlier efforts. The Raider galloped five furlongs, taking 52s for the last half-mile. Rigoletto jumped five hurdles, but his display was not attractive. Lord Ranald and Wharncliffe were companions over a mile, the first halfmile occupying 59s and the full journey 1.57 3-5. Lord Ranald Was in front most of the way, but they finished together. Snowfall moved along freely in a working- gallop over a round. Mrs. A. McDonald's team, including Coriieroff, Llyn Dhu, Blue Paper, Potoaform and Air Force, got through stronowork. ° Taramoa and Paris occupied 54 2-5s for half a mile. Nancy Lee was given useful pace workover a mile. A number of other horses worked, but their tasks were chiefly of the useful order.
