FAREWELL TO MINISTER
BERESFORD STREET CHURCH
The anniversary of the Sunday School connected with Hereford Street Congregational Church were celebrated yesterday at the Town Hall by special services, at which there were lariic coimrcaations! In the evening, twenty minutes before the service (started, people were unable to gain admission t« the hall. The anniversary celebration was combined with a farewell to the Rev. Lionel and Mrs. Fletcher, who leave this evening for an evangelistic tour of England and America, and are expected to return in about twelve months' time. Mr. Arthur Cherry presided ;:t (.lie organ. Miss Thelnia Gordon was pianist, and Mr. W. Gclnmell conducted the singing. Mv. Fletcher paid a tribute 5 to the members of the congregation, and said the. years spent here had been the happiest in his life. He appealed to his hearers to continue in the same spirit as in the past, so that the work might progress more and more.
