SIR JOSEPH WARD STATUE.

COMMISSION IN AUCKLAND. Captain W. 11. Fcldon, the well-known sculptor of this city, to-day received a telegram from liie South commissioning him to carve in statuary marble a, lifesized figure of the late Sir Joseph Ward. Including the time occupied in obtaining the marble, it will probably be eighteen muntlis before tho work is finished.
