Graham, was charged ; with assaulting another youni man, : 'Joseph Eeliy. Kelly was charged with : '■ drunkenness and obscene language. A disturbance occurred outside a I dance hall on Saturday niglit. According j jto Graham he wai in conversation wit;! la voting woman when Kelly approached ; and commenced to use dismasting hin- : I iruage. Graham told him to desist, where- | upon Kelly pulled out a length of onej inch iron piping, with the remark: "This ! vrlli fix you." Another man. named ! ; Crosby, witnessing tins, disarmed Kelly. ! : who commenced to use filthy language i again, whereupon the young woman ! remonstrated with him. Kelly called her j foul names and Graham felled him with ; Kelly admitted drunkenness and I pleaded ignorance of the other charges. SHe was lined £10. j In dismissing the case against Graham j the Bench said he was in no way to ' blame in the circumstances.
