There is a good demand for best quality, but second quality weaker. Mutton market: Wethers remain depressed owing to over-supply. There is a poor demand for ewes. Trade slow. New Zealand beef: Meeting poor demand. New Zealand porker pigs: Practically no demand owing to hot weather. New Zealand baconer pigs: Nominal prices owing to lower prices of Continental bacon. DAIRY PRODUCE. i THE BOARD'S REPORT. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board ban received the following market report from its London oilicc, dated July 11:— Butter.—New Zealand salted, 134/ to 136/, up to 137/; unsalted, 140/ to 150/; first whey, 126/; second whey, 124/. Deliveries New Zealand this week, 1000 tons; in store, 11,158 tons. Australian: Salted, 131/ to 334/; unsalted, 130/ to 134/. Argentine: Unsalted, 124/ to 130/. Irish Creamery: Salted, 136/; uusalted, 140/. Danish: 142/ f.0.1..; 147/ to 148/ spot. Esthonian: 138/. Siberian: 130/. Ukranian: 132/. Polish: 110/ to 126/. French baskets: Salted, 138/ to 140/. Market steady. Retail prices unchanged. Cheese. —New Zealand: White, 75/ to 77/; coloured, 81/ to 83/. Deliveries New Zealand this week, 21,642 crates; in store, 130,069 crates. Retail prices unchanged/English: Finest farmers', 90/ to 94/. MERCHANTS' CABLES. Messrs. Leonard and Son have received by cable from Mr. A. C. llowson, London, dated July 11, the following market report:— Cheese. —New Zealand, white. 75/; coloured, 82/. Demand disappointing. Market steady. Outlook: Anticipate improvement. Butter.—New Zealand, first grade, 134/; finest. 135/ to 136/. Demand steady. Market fairly steady. Outlook: Uncertain. Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London manager, under date July 12: — Butter.—Our prices unchanged (Anchor, 138/). Market still very quiet. Danish, 148/ spot, 142/ f.o.b. Deliveries, New Zealand, 9flß tons; stock, 1158 tons. Retails unchanged. Cheese.—White, 70/; coloured, 81/ to 82/. Market steady, but quiet. Canadian, white, 77/ up to 80/, c.i.f. Retail unchanged. COTTON, RUBBER, HEMP, ETC. LONDON, July 12. (Last week's prices in parentheses.) Cotton.—August delivery, 7.16 d (7.lid) per lb.
