TO-NIGHT'S WRESTLING.

McDOUGALL V. ALLEY. At the Town. Hall to-night Tom Alley, of America, will make-his first appearance in the Dominion this year against Scotty McDougall, of Canada. In his past visits to this country, Alley made himself a firm favourite with lovers of the good, old game. He claims the ligjht-heavy-weight championship of the world., since the retirement of Clarrie Ekluml, the former champion of that class. A tourney was held in America to dfcide who should succeed him for the title. Alley says that he emerged the .winner. McDongall is becoming well known to the Auckland public for his willing bouts, his splendid.iivhysique, and his good-natured grin. *'J&e has wrestled George Walker here several times, and has extended that champion to his fullest. Following are the amateur preliminaries:—K. Brewer, 5.2, v. F. Clark, 5.4; Hyatt, 10.10, v. G. Taylor, 31.4; K. Elliott, 12.0, v. Another, 12.1; Nicholls, 11.0, v. Simpson, 11.7.
