FIRE AT ONEHUNGA.

I' While patrolling Queen Street, Onehunga, about 11.35 last night Constable F. W. Johnsen observed smoke issuing from the roof of a building occupied by Mr. E. H. Golding, chemist, at the corner of Queen and Church Streets. The Fire Brigade suppressed the fire, which wag found to have started in a heap of rubbish in an attic. The floor was just beginning to burn when the brigade arrived. There was no one living on the premises. The building, with two other shops adjoining, belongs to the estate of the late Mr. T. R. Gillman, chemist, and are under the charge of the Public Trustee. They are insured with Lloyd's for £550. Mr. Golding has an insurance of £450 with the South British.
