Dr. Hi Annett, of Matangi, is staying at the GraM Hotel. • Mr. E. J.. Parr, Inspector of Schools, Wellington, is staying at the Commercial Hotel. , , * Mr. W. A. lorns, who. is at present in England, was re-elected chairman of the Dairy Produce Board at a meeting of the board in Wellington yesterday. Mr. J. ■H. Baxter, of the Customs Street branch of the Union Bank, has been appointed manager of the Nelson branch of the bank. Mr., R.. A. Coyne, of* Te Awamutu, will succeed him. Mr. R. O. Sinclair, L'L.M., of Auckland, has been appointed to an administrative position in Nigeria under the scheme recently organised by the British Colonial Service for graduates in the Dominions. Mr. Sinclair will first proceed, to Oxford University to undergo a preliminary course of training. Mr. W. A. Bishop, chairman of the Waitemata County Council, > Mr. A, Murray, county engineer, and Mr. C. A. Mr. Cawkwell - also attended the New Zealand Counties' Conference as a,delegate. Three new members were admitted to the_ Bar this morning by Mr. Justice Smith. Mr. Louis Phillips was admitted fts a barrister and solicitor on the motion of Mr. A. G. Quartley; Mr. Edward George Foster, solicitor, as a barrister, on the motion of Mr. C. 0. Mahoney; and Mr.- William Lambert Davidson as a solicitor, on the motion of Mr. D. It. C. Mowbray, Mr. Davidson proposes' practice in Fiji.
