The dUpute at the Dobson- mine was. settled to-day., The district dispute com-. mittee considered the matter but without reaching a decision," and an independent chairman,. Mr/ H. G. Carter, was called as.arbitrator. i. The question was whether the mine management was justified' in' refusing the minimum rate to four miners whom the union hold were unable to earn such rate owing to various adverse factors in their working place. The decision was that the clause in the agreement providing for a minimum rate should apply ,to the four men.
