Mr. Dwight Morrow, who was one of the American delegates to the Naval Conference, created a political sensation in a speech at Newark, New Jersey, on May 15, in which he launched his campaign for nomination to the Senate. Mr. Morrow asked for the repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment and the reversion of liquor control to the individual States. He proposed an amendment to the Constitution, vesting power in the Federal Government to give all possible protection and assistance to those States that might desire complete prohibition against invasion from the States that do not desire it. Mr. Morrow was formerly U.S. Ambassador to Mexico. He is father-in-law -of "Lindy."
