LOVE OF POEMS.

Last night at the Lewis Eady Hall a large audience *of women heard Elsie Lincoln Benedict lecture on "Love From a Woman's Viewpoint." She illustrated various love situations by reciting many of the world's most famous and beautiful love poems. Nothing in this remarkable entertainment savoured of the usual advice in "How to keep your husband," but in a plasant hour poems were sweetly recited to inspire and give further insight into the subject. Each poem, Mrs. Benedict showed, epitomised-a love-situation typical in the life of the average woman. of today. "As a rest from emotionalism," as the speaker said, a number of poems were distributed among the audience with the compliments of Mrs. Benedict.
