TRAMWAY DELAYS.
PERIODICAL BREAKDOWNS. "BOARD DOING ITS BEST." UNFORESEEN DIFFICULTIES. Power users generally are not disposed to complain of the inconveniences' that are being caused through periodical breakdowns'at the King ; s wharf station, recbgnising the difficulties under which the Auckland Electric Power Board is labouring. Nine interruptions were reported to tramway services in the city and suburbs between 5.11 p.m. and 5.49 p.m. last evening, but they were of only two or three minutes' duration. "We recognise that the Power Board is doing its best," said tho general manager of the Auckland Transport Board (Mr. A. E. Ford). "All sorts of unforeseen things are likely to occur to a plant that has bene lying idle for some time, but the board is making a big effort to overcome them. We regret the inconvenience that has been caused to tram users, and hope that the trouble will be eliminated from now on."
