WAITEMATA LADIES' CLUB.
The first round of ,the eclectic match, postponed on Wednesday, will be played by members of the Waitemata Ladies' Golf Club on Monday. The draw for the C grade is as follows : — Miss Palairet jr. Mrs. Downer, Miss Williams v. Miss. Duder. Mrs. MacDougall v. Miss King. Mrs. Mnsbett v. Miss Jackson, Miss O'Brien v. The nine-hole match was "won by Miss Moulton, 46, 15 —31; Miss Gordon-Cuming being second- with 50 —IS—32.
ROTORUA LADIES' TOURNEY.
MRS. 'WILLIAMS WIN'S CHAMPIONSHIP.

ROTORUA, Friday.
The final of the ladies' championship ■was decided this afternoon between Mrs. Guv Williams (Masterton) and Miss M. Pay ton (Botorua). Conditions were ideal when the play commenced, and frcm tlie start the Masterton player showed great accuracy, taking the first and second holes in 4. At the third Miss Pay ton 'picked up after her opponent laid within 10 feet of the pin with her drive. The i.ext three holes were taken in oue under bogey, and at the sixth Mrs. Williams was 5 up. The seventh and eighth were halved, but at the ninth Miss Payion took the hole in 2, leaving her 4 down at the turn. The tenth was halved in 6 after Miss Paytou had connected with a tee, and Mrs. Williams missed a short putt. A brilliant 3 at the eleventh, and a 2 at the twelfth, reduced Mrs. Williams to 2 up. Miss Payton lost the thirteenth through driving into a crater, but won the fourteenth with a nice 4. Mrs. Williams took the fifteenth and the match ended at the sixteenth, where Miss Payton lipped a hole for a 3 and the same was halved iu 4, leaving Mrs. T\ illiams 3 up and 2 to play. A large crowd followed the match, and at the conclusion the prizes won during the tournament were presented to competitors by Mr. F. W. Wilkie, president of the golf club.
