MAORI WOMAN'S GIFT.

SITE AND £300 FOR CHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Friday. : Mrs. Rihi Toto Nicholls, of Paeroa, has given to the Diocese of Waikato a site for a Maori church at Paeroa and' £300 toward the cost of building a. church. Mrs. Nicholls was recently confirmed by the Bishop of Aotearoa. Archdeacon Hori Raiti said Mrs. Nicholls' generosity was but one evidence of the revival in religion which has occurred among the Maoris of the Waikato since the appointment of Bishop Bennett. He expressed the hope that European members of the Church of England would assist the Maoris to raise i the additional £200 required to enable I the Maori church at Paeroa to be built.
