John' Alexander McDonald, "aged 74, was found dead this morning -from a s gunshot wound .in the head t :■ • Mr. McDonald was formerly borough and harbour engineer at Gisborne. Prior to coming to Gisborne in 1913 he had held important engineering posts in New South Wales, West Australia and South Africa. > -
