AUCKLAND CLUB,
The Auckland Cycle Club recommenced its road racing yesterday, over the new circuit. The event was 13 miles time trial ana sealed handicap over five. laps. Weather conditions were good,' though a 'bitterly cold head wind was encountered over a part of the course. It resulted in a win for W. Mathieson, though Ritchie recorded the fastest time. The result was as follows: — Sealed Handicap.— W. Mathieson (3m), 37m 5035,.1; L. Hall (6m Ids), 38m 18 2-os, 2- A Ritchie (scr), 38m 27 2-os, 3; K. Mathieson (lm 30s), 88m 41s 4 _ Time Trial.—A. Ritchie, 38m 27 2-os, 1, K. Mathieson, 40m 21s 2i; W: Mathieson, 40m 50 3-sa, 3; L. Pinfold, 41m 13 2-os, 4 " (The above is the riders' actual time over the distance.)
