UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT.

VICTORY TO AUCKLAND,

The New Zealand University hockey tournament concluded at Karori Park on Monday, the winner being the Auckland University College, who defeated Otago University by four goals to two, and now holds the Seddon Stick.

The game was spectacular, and the air was cold and keen. By half-time Auckland had scored three goals and Otago one. Both scored again before the game finished,, the final scores being, Auckland 4, Otago 2. Hay and Radcliffo scored two goals each for Auckland, and Bay both goals for Otago. The other game, between Victoria and Canterbury College, resulted in • a win for the former by three goals to two.
