TE AROHA "ORPHANS."
EECORD OF PKOGHE3S. NEW OFFICERS ELECTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, this day. At the annual meeting of the Te Aroha Orphans' Club last evening the president, Mr. N. G. McLeod, presided. The report stated that the number of members had increased, and the gatherings throughout the season were well attended, and the future prospects were bright. The balance-sheet showed receipts as £107 15/3, expenditure £103 13/6, credit balance £4 1/9, assets £132, and liabilities nil. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. E. A. Bruce; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. L. Mackie, R. G. Spence and F. W. Firkin; treasurer, Mr. S. A. Bradley; secretary, Mr. G. Walsh; assistant treasurer, Mr. L. Vickers; auditor, Mr. G. Gilchrist; hon. pianist. Mr. A. H. Margison; hon. conductor, Mr. H. Powall; musical director, Mr. H. A. Bradley; committee, Messrs. M. Edgar, R. McLean, O'Connell, H. Powall, Ritchie and Cryer. It was resolved to open the season on Monday, May 19.
