Towering above Bennondeey'a Town Hall, which has sported the red flag, a large chimney stack was flying the Union Jack. The chimney 'belongs to the council's dust destructor, and it was not until a steeplejack arrived on the scene that an explanation was given to calm the excitement of the inhabitants. "That's simple," he said. "Every time a chimney is put up, or broken down, a Union Jack is flown. It d'oesn'it mean anything. It's just habit."
