TO BOIL CABBAGE
| When cabbage, is put Into boiling | malted. water to which a pinch of bicar- [ bonate of soda is added, put in a good lump of good dripping. This gives the cabbage an excellent flavour, as well as preventing the water from boiling over. If good dripping is not available, a lumo of margarine (about 2 oz.) may be used."
