METHODIST CHURCH.
AUCKLAND WEST CIRCUIT. In the St. John's Methodist Church, Poijsonby, an induction service was conducted by the Rev. Edward Drake for the newly-appointed ministers. The Rev. Geo. Frost, superintendent,' and the Rev. Wesley Parker, assistant minister, officiated at the Franklin Road and Richmond Road Churches. After the .devotional portion of the service was completed and the singing of the Te Deum, the ministers were presented by the circuit stewards, Mr. L. E. Price and Mr. Leslie Simpson, to the officiating clergyman. An impressive and*suitable address was given to the new clergy and congregation, to which the new ministers replied. At the conclusion an adjournment was made to the school hall, where a social hour was spent, refreshments being provided. • _ Oddresses of welcome were given by Kev. E Drake, Rev. Dawson (All Saints'), Mv. VV A. Cook and Messrs. Leslie Simpson,, Bartley, Beer and Moses. A handsome bouquet of autumn tints was presented to Mrs. Frost by Miss Elva Russell on behalf of the women of the circuit. Musical items by Mesdames Raynes and Moses were given.
